The Department of ocean engineering is the most distinctive teaching department established by Tangshan maritime vocational college. At present, there are 21 professional teachers, including 3 with associate senior titles or above, 18 with intermediate titles and 16 with master's degrees or above. There are 8 majors in aquaculture technology, marine fishery technology, aquatic animal medicine, environmental monitoring technology, ecological environment restoration technology, aquarium science and technology, water ecological restoration technology and modern agricultural economic management. There are one Municipal Key Laboratory of water environment monitoring, one Research Institute of Fugu industry and one Research Institute of ornamental fish equipment. There are 8 training rooms in the school, including ecological breeding training room, microbial aseptic operation training room, water quality analysis training room, aquatic biology training room, water quality monitoring training room, water ecological restoration training room, algae training room and ERP sand table simulation training room. Eleven enterprises including Tangshan Haidu Aquatic Food Co., Ltd., Tangshan Caofeidian Huitong Aquatic Technology Co., Ltd., Tangshan Ruida Food Co., Ltd., Tianjin Yushengtang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Zhongshui fishery medicine Co., Ltd., Wuxi Zhongshui Fishery Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou jinhailong Biotechnology Co., Ltd  Tangshan Sanfeng Feed Co., Ltd. and Caofeidian Agricultural Development Group Co., Ltd. signed school enterprise cooperation agreements to jointly train talents. The internship and training positions include: marine biological germplasm breeding, water environment monitoring, industrialized circulating water aquaculture, three-dimensional ecological aquaculture in seawater ponds, deep-water anti wind and wave cage aquaculture, marine pasture, Fugu processing and export, harvest insect egg processing, frozen processing of aquatic products, production and service of animal protection products, production and marketing of aquatic feed.
